The ROS Summer School 2025 offers you the opportunity to join one of the most practice-oriented intensive courses in modern robotics in Germany. In cooperation with FH Aachen and MYBOTSHOP GmbH, you’ll learn in just ten days how to program, control, and prepare real robots for autonomous operation using ROS2 — the Robot Operating System 2. The training is designed both for newcomers to robotics as well as advanced participants who wish to deepen their knowledge in areas like autonomous navigation, sensor integration, robot software development, and distributed systems with ROS2.
You’ll work with state-of-the-art robotic systems such as the Clearpath Husky, the Unitree Go2 quadruped robot, the humanoid Unitree G1, and self-balancing robots like the Ascento Research.
This practice-focused program combines theoretical foundations with hands-on exercises, team projects, and live demos. Topics include SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping), computer vision with OpenCV, hardware interfacing, transformations with TF2, and navigation using Nav2. In addition, you can look forward to intensive workshops, coding sessions, and direct exchanges with professionals from industry, research, and development.
